Cookie Policy

A cookie is a small piece of text a website asks your browser to keep, and to send back the next time you visit. Websites also use similar storage built into the browser — "local storage" and "session storage" — which works the same way from your point of view. This page covers all of it, because the distinction matters to engineers and not to you.

It applies to this website. It does not cover any other site you reach from a link here; those have their own policies.

Every item below is necessary for the site to work. None of it is optional in the sense that ordering would still function without it.

• Your sign-in session — so you stay signed in between pages and do not have to confirm a code every time you tap something. It is removed when you sign out.
• Your basket — so the items you chose are still there if you close the tab and come back, or if your connection drops mid-order.
• Your last delivery address and name — so a repeat order does not make you type them again. Kept on your own device.
• Security protection — a token that proves a request came from this site and not from another one impersonating it.

Staff terminals used inside the restaurant store a staff session for the same reason. Those devices belong to Pane and are not customer-facing.

• We do not set advertising or retargeting cookies.
• We do not embed third-party analytics or social media tracking pixels.
• We do not build a profile of you for marketing, and we do not sell or rent your data.
• We do not follow you across other websites.

If that ever changes, this page will change with it and we will ask for your agreement before setting anything that is not strictly necessary.

Photographs of our food are served from an image hosting service. Loading an image tells that service your device made a request, in the same way that loading any image on the internet does. It sets no cookie for us and we receive nothing back about you from it.

Signing out removes your session immediately. Beyond that, every browser lets you clear site data or block storage for a site — usually under Settings, then Privacy.

Because everything we store is necessary, blocking it will stop parts of the site working: you will not be able to stay signed in, and your basket will empty when you navigate. That is a consequence of blocking, not a penalty.
